maria truro portugalEndorsed by the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, The Bay State: A Multicultural Landscape - Photographs of New Americans is an exhibit of inspirational portraits, presented by professional photographer Mark Chester.  The photos on display at the Eldredge Public Library represent a portion of the exhibit featuring 450 naturalized U.S. citizens who hail from 189 of the 195 countries and territories around the globe and are now residents of the Commonwealth.  Chester's powerful photographs create a visual archive that celebrates the broad diversity of Massachusetts citizens. The Mark Chester Diversity Project will be on display in the Forgeron Room at the Eldredge Public Library through June.  There will be a reception on June 22 at 7:00 pm to meet photographer Mark Chester.
