"The Power of Myth"

A series of six classes will be offered on Joseph Campbell's " The Power of Myth." Discussions will be led by Dr. Else Bastone and will examine, evaluate and discuss the ideas presented by Joseph Campbell, the ancient myths and their relevance to our lives today. Enrollment is free. Preregistration is required. The sign-up sheet is at the Front Desk. Prerequisite: Reading the chapte of the book pertaining to each day's discussion or viewing the corresponding video of the PBS series. Ebook Demonstration and Technology Open House

Did you get a new ebook or other digital device for Christmas, or are you thinking of getting one? Join Amy Andreasson and Regina McDowell for an overview session on how to download free library ebooks to your device. This class will give a demonstration of the download procedure, and hands on, individual attention will be limited. We will have several different types of devices available for you to see and try-out. Please see Amy Andreasson for more information or if you need specific or individual help with downloading the ebooks or audiobooks offered by the CLAMS system.
State of the Birds: The Winners and the Losers

Learn about some of the surprising results from Mass Audubon's recent landmark "State of the Birds" report. Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Santuary's Science Coordinator Mark Flaherty will highlight the winners, the losers and what we are doing to help, with a focus on Cape Cod habitats.
