Walter Cronkite, the Journalist I Knew." Walter Cronkite was the leading figure in television news during its golden age when as many as one third of all the homes in the United States devoted their supper time viewing to evening news programs on the Big Three networks. Chatham resident Ed Fouhy was a reporter, Saigon Bureau chief and top Washington producer for CBS News during those years. His talk will focus on Cronkite and the world of network news as it was then and as it is now.
