Home Delivery Service

The Eldredge Public Library offers Homebound Services to those patrons residing in Chatham who are unable to physically visit the library. “Homebound” is defined as being generally confined to a residence either temporarily or permanently, due to illness, injury, or physical disability. If a patron drives, they would not be eligible for homebound status. Patrons can either arrange for their own delivery of items, or request delivery service from the library.

When a patron requests delivery service they are matched with one of our volunteers, and all arrangements for pick-ups and deliveries are then made between patron and volunteer.  Patrons may reserve their own books from home using the online catalog or by calling the Library, or they may give their requests to the volunteer.

All circulating materials are available for home delivery, including books (in regular & large print), audiobooks on CD, music CDs, and DVDs.

To receive home delivery you must have an Eldredge Public Library card.  If you do not have a card, your volunteer can assist you in registering for one.

To sign up for delivery, just call the Library at 508-945-5170 or fill out this Form and return it to the Library!
